This weekend: Out'a Bounds, People's Fair + a cool announcement!

Come out this weekend and get your dose of FUNK! You know you need a big pill...

On Saturday night, June 7 we're back up in Loveland at Out'a Bounds Saloon (281 E 29th St). We hit at 9:30 p.m. and funk you ALL NIGHT LONG, so if you're up in NoCo, come party with the Pipe!

The following Sunday, June 8, we are pleased to be back at the annual Capitol Hill United Neighborhood People's Fair! This is one of Denver's coolest, longest-running and most fun events of the year and includes lots of live music, great food and drink, arts and crafts from all kinds of people and places, and nonprofit booths, including one for our friends at Swallow Hill Music Association. We play the MAIN STAGE (near 14th and Acoma Streets, downtown) at 3:15 p.m. and the sets are short, so get there early! Also stop by Swallow Hill's booth and say hi.

Speaking of Swallow Hill, don't forget our special UNPLUGGED performance and interactive workshop/jam centering around THE ROOTS OF FUNK (June 13 + 14). Performance tickets and registration for the workshop are available at Swallow Hill's website at swallowhillmusic.org and if you BUY IN ADVANCE, YOU SAVE. Members also get discounts so please consider being a member of this 29-year-old Denver cultural institution dedicated to teaching and presenting the best in folk, roots, and acoustic music!

Find out more about the Unplugged performance on June 13 by clicking here. Information about our interactive workshop can be found by clicking here.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!

We have been chosen to participate in this year's Film on the Rocks Series, brought to you by the Denver Film Society, the City and County of Denver and Swallow Hill Music Association! On Friday, August 8 we will open for the film, Purple Rain, and we have a lot of surprises in store for that. This is the first time we've announced this gig and it's not quite up yet on all our calendars, but it IS happening and we will have more info on our sites and through this blog of course!

And please, don't forget to vote for U.S. as Denver's Best Funk Band in Westword's Annual Music Showcase by visiting westword.com/polls/musicpoll. There is still time but don't delay--the voting is only open for so long and you wouldn't want to forget, now, would ya?

As always, thank you for your love and support--keep passin' that Pipe!
